Every L'Écurie Paris frame is listed with three measurements in millimeters: lens width, bridge width and temple length. A fourth, the width across the front, is the one that decides how the frame sits on your face. Most frames carry the same three numbers engraved inside the left temple, so a pair you already own is the simplest point of comparison.

Reading the measurements

Lens width is the horizontal width of one lens. Bridge is the gap between the lenses, across the nose. Temple is the length of each arm, from the hinge to the tip. Lens height is the vertical depth of the lens; opticians generally ask for 30 mm or more to fit progressive lenses comfortably.

Width across the front is the full width of the frame from hinge to hinge. A frame that matches the width of your face sits level, neither pressing at the temples nor sliding down the nose.

Fit

Each model is grouped by its width across the front.

  • Narrow, under 135 mm
  • Medium, 135 to 141 mm
  • Wide, 142 mm and above

With a well fitting pair at hand, compare its width with the table below. Without one, a soft tape measure held across the face at the temples, just in front of the ears, gives the width that suits you.

Measurements by model

Sunglasses and optical frames of the same model share one frame, so the measurements apply to both. All values in millimeters.

Prescription lenses

Optical frames ship with clear lenses, ready for your prescription. Sunglasses can be fitted with tinted prescription lenses as well. Any optician can fit the lenses of your choice, and doing so does not affect the lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects.
