Every frame in this collection is cut from Takiron Japanese acetate — a premium material prized for its lower moisture content, superior dimensional stability, and the depth and richness of its colors — then assembled by Sabae craftsmen in Japan using techniques refined over decades.
What Makes Premium Acetate Different
Not all acetate is equal. The fast-fashion eyewear industry uses injected plastic and calls it acetate. True premium acetate — like the Takiron material we use — is cut from thick sheets or rods. The colors run through the full thickness of the material. They do not fade, chip, or peel because they are the material itself, not a coating applied to its surface.
