L'Écurie Paris designer eyeglasses are built on a single principle: that the frame you wear every day should be the most precisely made object you own. Every pair is handcrafted in Japan from aerospace-grade titanium or premium Takiron acetate — a Japanese acetate valued for its lower moisture content, superior dimensional stability, and exceptional surface quality — finished with genuine 18K or 14K gold plating, and produced in limited editions of 300 pieces.

Our designer eyeglasses reflect French design and are built in Japan. This is not a marketing formula — it is a production reality that results in something specific: the aesthetic intelligence of French design realized with the manufacturing precision of Sabae, Japan's eyewear capital.
Sabae craftsmen in Fukui Prefecture produce approximately 20% of the world's eyewear and nearly all of the world's finest frames. A single titanium frame passes through approximately 200 individual production steps in Sabae, many performed by hand by artisans who have worked in the same discipline for decades. The hinge tension, the nose pad angle, the temple return — each is set individually. The result is a frame that fits differently from anything produced at scale.

Titanium Frames
Our titanium designer eyeglasses — Leo, Alexis, Morgane, Paname, Lissa — are the lightest prescription-ready frames we produce. Titanium is 45% lighter than steel, completely hypoallergenic, and dimensionally stable under all conditions. For daily wear over years, titanium is the rational material choice. The 18K gold plating adds warmth and visual distinction without compromising any of these properties.
Acetate Frames
Our acetate designer eyeglasses — Victor, Riviera, George, Emmanuelle, Elsa, Charlotte — use Takiron Japanese acetate cut from sheets, not injection-molded. This distinction matters: sheet acetate has a denser molecular structure, holds its shape better over time, and develops a subtle patina that injection-molded plastic cannot replicate. The colors run through the full thickness of the material — they don't fade or chip because they are the material, not a coating on it.
Prescription-Ready
All frames in this collection are prescription-ready and compatible with all standard lens types — single vision, progressive, bifocal, high-index, anti-reflective, photochromic, and blue-light coatings. Our titanium frames are particularly suited to high prescriptions and progressive lenses, as titanium's dimensional stability prevents the optical distortion that softer frame materials can introduce.
